Fix RegEdit
Once a virus is stripped out of the system, the Registry tool was disabled for the user. The message was Registry Error - Registry editing has been disabled by your Administrator.
Use the Command Prompt:
REG add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System /v DisableRegistryTools /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
once done, restart the computer.
Then user the RegEdit utility to check the user policies for explorer and system to make sure that TaskManager and Control Panel have not been disabled. See Unable to use control panel for more information.
